Castle Stalker

Day out with Janice and we headed for Glencoe and into Glen Etive for a picnik. Then we headed up to Oban for a wander about and a climb up to McCaig's Tower. Then home via the Duck Bay Marina for dinner. So today's blip was one of 4 snaps but the one I've chosen is the castle. Castle Stalker is a four-storey tower house picturesquely set on a tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe. It is located about 1.5 miles north east of Port Appin, Argyll and is visible from the A828 road around mid-way between Oban and Glen Coe. In recent times the castle was brought to fame by the Monty Python team, appearing in their film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It also appeared in the film Highlander: Endgame.
