i found a shell

in an attempt to make the most of the last of the summer sunshine, we sat out in the garden this afternoon. i filled in the mountains of paperwork from school, consent forms for this and that, contact details over and over again...while lily made a den, callie chased a football around and dylan climbed a tree. i was most excited to find a "shell stuck to a leaf" which he brought to show me. I asked how the shell was stuck to the leaf. maybe glue he thought? looks shiny.... what makes the glue? he peered up close and then jumped out his skin when the inhabitant of the shell emerged :) hello mrs snail!
