Searching For Wildflowers
Because we've had so much rain this winter the Spring wildflowers are reportedly having a bumper year! We decided we should not just laze around today so we went for a drive in search of wildflowers to photograph.
We did some research online before we left as we wanted to take Toto with us and weren't sure if the State parks were dog friendly or not. As it turned out they don't like dogs in many of the parks so we headed to one that allowed dogs on the lead but when we got there it looked like everyone there had a dog and they were all running free! Toto tends to run off with other dogs so we drove on further to a more lonely spot on an outback trail and had a wander around there.
Unfortunately the common dandelion has taken over in many parts (see extra) and we only saw a few scattered wildflowers, obviously we weren't in the right spot!
My main shot is what possibly had been a tree farm but all the trees seemed dead. Not sure what type of tree they were but there were no signs of buds or new leaves and no sign of life at the dilapidated farm either, very sad.
We'll venture out next weekend perhaps in search of wildflowers again!
