Queen at the Groninger Museum

For her birthday party, Ellis wanted to go to the Groninger Museum. It's not her birthday yet, but it turns out we already have lots of things planned so after Inge's party yesterday we now have Ellis' party...

Her friends arrived around 9.30 this morning (quite early after yesterday's street BBQ party I must admit) and then we drove to Groningen. We arrived around 10 and were awaited by our guide. We had something to drink and then she showed us around the museum. I admit I was a bit surprised to see the children were actually quite interested in the museum building and the art that is on display. After the tour, the kids designed and then made their own museum building, based on their own ideas about what the museum should be about. Then it was time to return home, where the kids ran around in the backyard and we had pancakes and sandwiches. Another successful party. Now it's time to relax; I'm quite pooped...
