Welcome to Croatia

We had a really really early flight on Friday morning (6.30am!!!) which meant we were up about 4ish as we were flying from Stanstead.  It was pretty hellish being up at that time and I think we were both completely shattered when we arrived in Dubrovnik.

It wasn't too much of an ordeal though as we quickly jumped in a cab and headed to the hotel where we relaxed on their terrace bar while they readied our room.  

In between we headed to one of the resort restaurants - our room was fabulous but generally speaking we thought the restaurants and bars in our resort were sort of Mheh - not that great.  Quite disappointing given the rating of the hotel in general.

We had a really slow afternoon before heading into the old town to get a general feel for the place - Dubrovnik old town really is beautiful but we will get to pictures of that later :)
