X-Craft

Walked around Aberlady Bay and out to the X-Craft this morning. The X-craft are midget submarines, these were test craft, later sunk during May 1946. The craft were used to ascertain the effect of 20mm cannon shell fire. A fascinating piece of history in a beutiful location.

After we had tea and cake watching the birds in the Local Nature Reserve.
