Fairy Ponds
Weather looking more settled today - sun shone intermingled with threatening clouds, but no rain.
On the road again, this time south to visit the Cuillin Hills and impressive they were too. A walk was taken to the Fairy Ponds - waterfalls/ponds repeated for quite some distance. We walked for about 30 minutes, the tracks in places were very boggy after all the recent rain. But well worth it - this is the first time I have used the tripod so far.
The first extra is a bridge we happened ( Sligachan Glen) to come upon with the Cuillin Hills behind - crazy light in the sky. The second is the famous Eilean Donan Castel, we were there around 2 pm, the wind was howling so no lovely reflections we see in the books. Still, I have to be happy at just seeing it.
We are sett;ed into a super wee BnB in North Ballachulish, south of Fort William. We have just walked back from the Loch Leven Hotel where we treated ourselves to a scrumptious meal.
Good wifi here (at last)
There are two back blips if you care to take a look.
