A Fish In The hand.....

The very heavy rain last night caused the road to flood during the night. Quite a worry as the river level came up very quickly and 'flood season' doesn't usually start for another six or so weeks.

On our walk round the river we noticed that the puddles were 'moving'. Turns out it was lots of little fishes that had been washed up with the flood water but the grassy bank prevented them from getting back into the river when the water level decreased. 

Hubby came to the rescue and threw returned a number of them to the river.
