New bike!

I got a bike last night for a really good deal, only 500 kr ($82). Came with a bell, a lock and mudflaps which are invaluable as it rains a lot in Norway. The woman who sold it to me said her family was moving so she seemed eager to get rid of it. Drove it to my house too which was a big help as she lived a bit of a ways away. I now no longer have to walk 40 minutes into town or pay $5 for a bus ticket.

Norway is apparently a very safe place for bikes, I see unlocked ones all over the place. If they are locked, it's often to themselves, not an object, just so they can't be wheeled away. You wouldn't do that in Canada, and certainly not in France!

Did some running around today, got my person number and tax card sorted out so I should get those in a week or two. Went to the university and saw my older professor as well. Tomorrow I have a Norwegian test to place me at the right level, I should get back to reviewing!
