It's Grim Up North

Librarys

Last day in Manchester.
Started with the Life's a Drag exhibition in the recently refurbished Central Library. Found a photo in the local history section, of boys from my school in the 1930's, dressed in long white undies and forming a human pyramid. Sadly dropped from the curriculum by the time I got there.
Then across town to the John Rylands library and home, standing room only on the Manchester Airport to Glasgow train. Four coaches!
Great to spend time alone with my old friend S. We usually meet up with our spouses. Good to visit my home city. It felt part of me, but I didn't feel part of it.
