Building a bed
Up at four-thirty, this morning, in the hope that I could get home without hitting any traffic. Driving through north London was lovely; wet, lamplit roads, and only a handful of cars using them. I only wish dawn had been a bit earlier.
The motorway was clear and I stopped at the first services on the M6 for a nap, followed by a coffee. I was only off the motorway for half an hour, all told, but it was far busier as I rejoined it. Even so, it wasn't too bad and I made a second pitstop at Charnock Richard, where the Minx met me for coffee, and I was back home by nine forty-five.
Well, nearly home. In a clear case of 'first world problems' the cleaner was at the house and I felt uncomfortable going back, so I parked up nearby and did some email and made some phone calls until the house was free.
After doing a little more work, I went for a short run and then finished off making Dan's bed and his desk. There's still a lot to do but at least all the assembly is done now.
