Surviving Dahlia

I bought this red dahlia at a National Trust property at the end of last year. I admit it was reduced, but it still bloomed beautifully for a couple of weeks.

It survived the winter and the foliage looked pretty well OK.

A couple of weeks ago, buds appeared. I had great hopes.

But by the time it had been nibbled by something, and had blown over in its pot, it wasn't quite as delightful as I had hoped.

But she still has a certain charm (and there is still another bud)
