Floating Dreams
This artwork titled 'Floating Dreams' caught my eye, on my way to the Tate Gallery, where I was meeting KP for coffee.
The work is by Ik-Joong Kang. It's constructed from 500 drawings & illuminated within, Floating Dreams is a 3 storey high lantern structure that's acts as a memorial to the millions displaced & divided during the Korean War (1950-1953), & a poignant symbol of hope for the reunification of North & South Korea.
I imagine that at night when it's actually illuminated it's even more striking
