Out of my comfort zone

Putting the camera down and picking up a paintbrush doesn't come easily. But I went with my sister today to Jennie Maizel's sketchbook club (in Hampshire, UK if you're near). It was such fun. We did 6 different double page spreads, including this peacock. I had a go at brush lettering which is much harder than traditional calligraphy but I got the hang of it in the end. My favourite was the cup of tea with elaborate steam which is unfinished. I'll share once I've finished the steam.
