Meanwhile Back at the Feeder...

I hadn't planned to blip Ms Anole again today, in fact I had a very dapper-looking flyguy to share with you but... I looked out the sliding glass door and there she was again, this time in her lovely brown phase. And instead of harassing flying things she was helping herself to some of that wonderfully sweet sugar water. Now, I have lived all of my life around anoles and have seen them do a lot of 'amazing' and fascinating things but this about takes the cake! I was fortunate that I had my 100-400mm lens on my camera and was able to get a nice close and clear shot of her slurping at the sweetness. I love how you can see her pink tongue! What started out as a low photomojo day ended up as one of my most favorite ever! It's often the small, subtle things in the natural world that remind me of why I'm blessed to be...Gaia's Child!
