#49 announces the TinyTuesday results!
This adorable little warbler showed up this morning (YardBird 49), posed briefly right in front of me and then flew off into the woods. This is a juvenile Ovenbird, so named because it's nest resembles a kettle-oven and is built on the ground in wooded areas. If you look very closely, you'll see that its crest, which is orange, is slightly raised, and you will also see the remains of its "gape" at the corner of its beak, which is what tells me its a juvenile. And it also tells me that he/she is very excited to be able to announce the TT67 results.
First, let me just say THANK YOU to all who submitted images for TT67 - you made the decisions incredibly difficult and I only wish I had many more hearts to give out. In no particular order, hearts this week are going out to:
Freyjad for a beautifully photographed butterfly using an eye-level POV
AH14 for these rich colors and perfect focus throughout the image
Nickimags888 for her flower spider, which I know from personal experience is extremely hard to photograph
JDO for getting all the hairy details of her spider
Apothecary7 for a superbly sharp image of droplets
and
Hillyblips for her excellent shot of the hawker in flight
In addition, and again in no particular order, these entries also really stood out for me and are deserving of honorable mentions:
KevinMaskell
Serpentine
LesleyAshford
Barking
Kersko
Hesscat
kwdiane
Soletrader
V1K1
Please do stop by and have a look at all these wonderful images!
Cheers,
Debbi
