East by north
Day 8 following the sequence of compass point lines drawn from Glossop town centre took me to 'the road most travelled'.
This is my favourite local walk. It's very popular with other locals but quiet this afternoon. Mossy Lea farm which on the left of this track is host to a wide variety of birds most notably today Swallows, House Martins with a single Sand Martin sitting with them on the wires.
Special 'extra' birds seen today included a female Redstart and flypast by a Merlin.
As with yesterday the distant view is of Bleaklow the 2nd highest mountain in the Peak District. The rocky area this compass point line goes straight through is called Shelf Benches worth walking up to even if you go no further.
Yes that's me the blipper blipped.
