Wednesday’s weather changed from a spring-like morning to wild winter-like conditions by late morning as a cold southerly storm arrived - leaving snow and damage along its path as it travels from the deep south of the South Island to the central regions of the North Island of NZ.
 
To my right, only minutes before we arrived at the Motueka beach, a huge limb from a mature pine tree had split and crashed to the ground smothering a nearby picnic table and beyond. Fortunately it wasn’t a day for sitting outside and no one was injured.
 
This view of the Motueka Beach is looking towards the point and the wooden seat featured in my last blip – which has been popular and I send a huge thank you for the many comments, stars and hearts.
