A day late
but better late than never. Found the hummingbird moth in the butterfly bush again the other day and meant to post it yesterday . Somehow I forgot . It could have had something to do with spending my internet time looking up shrubs that will tolerate shade and clay soils. A decision was eventually made to try a Virginia sweet spire. I have already managed to kill a hakuro nishiki willow. Well , actually it was doing quite well when we left on vacation and my son swore it rained while we were gone so he didn't have to water it, but the extremely dry summer following and our amazing clay soil (really should have opened a brick factory) took it's toll and it is now tinder. So much for a green thumb.
