Sad parents

"Sad parents" is a sculpture of the very talented German artist Käthe Kollwitz .(1867-1945) She made this sculpture after the dead of her son Peter  in WW1. This sculpture is at the "Deutscher Friedhof"  in  the small Flemish Village named Vladslo. Beside making sculptures she made graphic works inspired on the social unbalanced contrast between poor and rich and first at all against all violence of that time that is -was  WW1. Now in 2016  about 100 years ago they still finding body's -remains of soldiers from all party's in  Flanders Fields....  Still 200.000 of them are missing.....and are buried deep in the Flemish ground  of honour
