Keeping Christmas at Bay

My favourite straight talker Lesley taking precautions from here on in, it may be an Indian Summer and 28degrees out but those Christmas displays are starting to appear, totally breaching the unwritten "lets do Halloween first" code that's been in place since the 70s. Garden centres are the worst culprits. Talking of gardens I chose the hottest day to come home and cut the grass front, back and out way way back. My grass grows like my hair so it is kinda a big task to wrangle that into some sort of normal looking semblance. And like my hair, I kind of give up on any hope of neatness.
