A Drive Around

There was an horrendous thunderstorm and lightning all last night. I did try and take a photo but the lightning bolts were out at sea and as a result the odd bright sky photo wasn't exciting. Our room flooded during the night, soaking my case and contents! Spiro, the owner/manager has moved us to a ground floor room which is far nicer.

This morning was sunny and other than some large puddles you'd never know that the rain had been so bad.  We went for a drive to Skala, where we stayed 12 years go, and then to Poros where we enjoyed tea/coffee with lovely views over the harbour. From there we drove to Sami; the views on route over the surrounding mountains were superb (see blip photo).

We enjoyed a lovely walk around the large fishing town/harbour of Sami (there was no trace of the Captain Corelli memorabilia that was there previously) and stopped at the harbour for photo's. Mrs BB had some tuition on how to work the camera and composition (I showed her my picture of her as a guide), and she did quite well. Instead of the modern selfie you can see proper photo's of us that I've combined!
