Roll on Sunrise

A play on words from the post two days ago.  This is the same straw bale as in that shot, but this time pointing towards the sunrise, rather than the sunset.

Despite the gaps in the clouds, the sun stubbornly stayed hidden until almost two hours after the sunrise (not that I was still standing here, I'll have you know).  I had great difficulty deciding whether to post this as a mono so I've added the conversion for comparison.

Oh, and as wide angle Wednesday is theme free and this was taken at 16mm on a full frame camera, I've added it to that challenge as well.
