Camera, washing powder, Action!

It was a great surprise to see that the BBC came to Chorley today to film the Dr Who Christmas Special. It's called 'The Invasion of the Washing Machines'.

Essentially the plot is that alien beings from a distant galaxy transport themselves to Earth as energy packets and take over The Nation's washing machines in order to assume physical form. The aliens/washing machines then take to the streets, ingesting bystanders and putting them on a hot wash in order to consume their life-force. The Queen, Olympic medal winners and David Cameron have cameo roles in the Christmas Special and they help The Doctor defeat the aliens by waving Union Jacks at them. Everyone lives happily ever after and votes Conservative.
