Dive Bomber
Conditions were hotter than yesterday (93 F/33.9 C) and therefore another good day for monarch butterflies. I saw a monarch feeding as soon as I got out of the car. Yellow was the color of the day; all five monarchs observed were feeding on different types of yellow flowers.
Wind dictated photo set up the same as yesterday except I substituted a shorter lens. For this shot I kneeled in the weeds and looked up into the sky for a blue background and to avoid buildings in the distance.
