Together forever and never to part...

The Leven LAIDs are together no more.

Today they had to vacate Grindlay Street, and head off to start the next chapter of their lives, in different places.  

The Original Four LAIDs - never a four so perfectly matched for partying, came together in Leven Street, where despite having the first floor flat, above shops and a pub, still managed to get complaints from the neighbours.  All the neighbours - even those two floors above.   

Leven Street, was central.  Close to all the night life - accessible for all their mates from two different uni's and all different sport groups to crash in.   The LAIDs did not know how to say no to a Party, or a drink, or a night out.    When they left Leven Street, there were eight bin bags of bottles to remove.  

Fourth Year at Uni seen them move to Grindlay Street.  Castle View from Lynn's room, neighbours who cared not a jot about the singing, going out at midnight, and coming in at 5 with a MacDonalds.   Even closer to nightlife, shops, carryouts, and buffet.  Could life be any better -  nah, it really couldn't be.

One Quarter of the Leven LAIDs left at the end of term, (insert) and is currently seeking fame and fortune in LA LA Land....  And K moved in and took up the vacant space and entered into the Spirit of the LAIDs as best as anyone could.      Carol is heading west.... Lala... north;   you are all welcome here Gals, any time. 

And Toolibelle...   Well Toolibelle is still in the Burgh, moved in to a nice new flat share with someone she doesn't even know, and is working there until the end of October.. after which time she'll come home until she tries to work out what she wants to do with the rest of her life.

Aw. LAIDs, you have lived the last two years as well as any four lunatics could.  What a friendship you have formed.  My heart ached for you all today, knowing how sad you would all be to say goodbye to each other, and your lovely flat....   Never let go of your friendships - you have made enough memories in your time together to last you a lifetime.
