From Nature's wardrobe
Trudging home in the late afternoon sun with a bag of scrumped plums I was accompanied by a retinue of speckled wood butterflies. I noticed for the first time the subtle changes in leaf colour and texture, and the bramble tendrils making a final energetic push for new territory... yes, it's that time of year again. A fallen buzzard's feather underlined the message.
Nature's wardrobe
holds a fair
supply of costumes:
Spider, seagull, field mouse.
each fits perfectly right off
and is dutifully worn
into shreds.
