Cairns and Drought

Today was a holiday here (and in Canada) - Labor Day.  There will be no labor on Labor Day though.  It was nice to have another day off to just putter around and get things done.  Managed to fit in a nice bike ride along an old rail trail that has been recently leveled and paved with crushed stone.  We're in a severe drought right now and kind of evident from this photo where people are building mini cairns along the river's edge.  I had to contribute a couple.  Nice shadows late afternoon in the extra.
