The Struggle

It certainly was a struggle for the riders in the Tour of Britain to cycle up The Struggle from Ambleside to the top of Kirkstone Pass. Hundreds of amateur cyclists waited in the rain, huddled to keep warm, and peered through the mist to watch the approaching police motorbikes and then, at last, the weary riders.
