Shot at dawn

Although we only live about 15 minutes away, neither of us have ever visited The National Memorial Arboretum before. It was a spur of the moment decision, despite the threat of rain which was less of a threat and more of an actual event by the time we arrived.

We wandered about in the drizzle for a couple of hours when we decided we'd earned a coffee break so headed to the cafeteria. As we stepped inside, the heavens opened and we were trapped there for about an hour! At least this gave us time to pick up presents for two approaching birthdays.
