Moon passing
Thanks for the comments on the Virginia creeper EB, but after posting I spotted the moon close to the horizon. Seeing it pass behind the radio mast gave a great opportunity to observe the speed that it travels. It was probably took only about a minute between clearing the mast and touching the bush. The exposure is a real challenge. With skill I might have taken two: one to get better definition of the silhouette of the mast and bush, and one to avoid the moon being overexposed. But, the contrast across the moon is also very high!
There was 20 minutes to wait for a bus to work when I came out of the dentist's so decided to work from home today. Got a lot done: have finished my talk for the conference I'm leaving for tomorrow afternoon. It's only Birmingham! [Sorry Brummies!] Otherwise, I only left the house to photograph the Virginia creeper on the neighbour's wall as the sun started to go down. It's a wonderful red colour, but I didn't catch it well: something for another sunny autumnal evening.
