Oxbow Lagoon

What a wonderful day the 12 walkers had, starting at the Albert Town swing bridge over the Hawea River, and walking down the true left of the Clutha River.  This Oxbow wetland (in photo), formed an old channel of the Hawea River.  The wetland is recharged by south-west flowing water from the Hawea River.  It is completly natural, not man made.  Looking beautiful and colourful on this sunny day.
