Cider and sunshine and laughter.

What a glorious day - Shakespeare for Breakfast first thing - a cross between Romeo and Juliet and Made in Chelsea/TOWIE. Fantastic show, the mashup worked really well. Then it was two hours in the lovely sunshine in the beer garden drinking tasty cranberry and cinnamon cider (pictured) and then off to a free show, Austentatious, that we'd had fliers for.

It's an improvised comedy where the audience suggest a book that Jane Austen should have written - and is then performed by the cast. Our title was 'Bingley and Darcy, the forbidden love!' (Austen fangirl squeeing here....) Not only were the audience in stitches, the cast members were cracking up on the side too - 'will you come shooting up Brokeback hill' 'Oh dear, I seemed to have spilled my Irish Cream on your rug'). I'm very tempted to go again as it was done so well!

After that, Bonsai (yay!) for a long late lunch. Jigsaw, a 'fast paced sketch show' at the Pleasance - a series of a minute or so long sketches that were very funny - more like visual jokes than actual sketches.

After a final stop in a beer garden (oh work is going to be tough tomorrow) saw Mark Thomas doing a really rather emotional show about his father. It had some funny parts to it, but it was really touching seeing him talk about his father. In some ways it was quite sad, but the way it was delivered was so powerful that it was definitely worth seeing.

Think it's time I fall into bed now, I'm shattered!
