In Search of a Bargain

Well, I set out determined to find a bargain today.  Although I must admit when I set out I had not the faintest idea of what that bargain would be.
Surely though, I would see something at the city market which would catch my eye. Whether or not I actually needed it. So my mission for a Saturday  was entirely geared to achieving that bargain.
I had already been an early bird at the shops, so now was the time I could look at leisure through the stalls at the market. Well until my already paid-for parking time was up.
I suppose I am something of a fan of markets and will often drive miles just to savour a different one, even though the stalls and traders may well be the same in a certain area.

Oh, yes. I did spend money in the market and bought some fruit.  But my best bargain of the day was already in my shopping bag, achieved through my early bird visit to the local M&S food hall and hitting on something for my wife’s lunch and a foodie treat for me, both closely approaching their sell-by dated and reduced!
