An appointment to keep...
I almost didn't too after a nightmare with busses, but I made it just in time. It was the social media call for the National Theatre of Scotland's production of Appointment with the Wicker Man announced on the blip blog the other day. There were a few of us there from blip including BB, Miss R Able, Mrs Cyclops and Red. What a fantastic experience it was too, we had an hour before the show in which the Loch Parry Players introduced themselves to us then ran through a couple of scenes from the show. They did each of the run-throughs twice so we could both watch them then get photos. After that we had a chat/Q&A session with the real cast behind the Loch Parry Players, very nice people they all were too.
We all got tickets to watch the full show an hour later as well. The show itself was hilarious, I was almost in tears at points. I won't say too much about it other than if you're in Edinburgh over the Festival it's well worth going to see. I'm going to have to look at the finances and think about going a second time so Maddy can see it too.
After that it was a mad dash home for Dinner then back into town with Roz, Maddy and Maddy's friend Coire to see Rhys Darby (Murray from Flight on the Conchords). He was very funny as well and well worth a visit. The girls were delighted to get their photo taken with him afterwards when we got his book signed.
All in all a very good day with plenty of laughter.
