Although in this case it is the arches of a aquaduct. 

The Abbey of St Polycarpe, built in the 12th century has, like many of that age, fallen into ruin, but there is still a well preserved bit of he aquaduct that brought water in to them.

I'm just not certain why they chose to build two seperate style of arch.
