Feast and famine
You know some days you just can't find a blip and then other days there are zillions of shots you could use. Well today is the latter!
Sis and I headed out to Crowle Moors nature reserve this afternoon for a walk. (I have to get my 10,000 steps in somehow) and thought sis would enjoy doing it with me (ho, ho!!)
Anyway just as we went through the gate to start the walk w dragonfly landed on the gate and allowed us to photograph it - lots!. Blip in the bag and we hadn't even done 50 steps! Bonus!!!
I still had 9,950 steps to do so we carried on walking. Low and behold this chap was sat on the path watching us with his beady eye! Literally just sat there while we both got our cameras out and shot off several rounds. I was BESIDE myself with excitement. The only other time I have seen snake in the wild was many moons ago and it was basically a bit of a flash as it headed into the grass. This chap sat for quite some time before slithering off.
Absolutely made my day - also made the rest of the walk a bonus. Which was good because it was a bit of a tough walk. It s a wonder I am still alive as sis was ready to kill me for walking her so far!
