25 Wonderful Years in Barcelona!

Imagine celebrating 25 years of blipping! Well, today 25 years ago to the very hour of taking this photo, we arrived in Barcelona in our trusty Citroen 2CV (Françoise by name!) to commence the greatest adventure of our lives. The IESE MBA that began that month was unique in many ways including the fact its two years straddled the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. It seemed appropriate to position ourselves in front of the Olympic Stadium and the crucible that held the flame - we will never forget the cry that went up in the city when the archer's flaming arrow rose from the floor of the stadium through the indigo sky and ignited the gas spuming from the bowl. The MBA was the start of so many friendships, indeed blood brotherhoods and sisterhoods, that endure to this very day connecting our class of 70 and the wider year of 210 across the world. For several mad, foreign diehards - including ourselves - it was the start of twenty-five years of calling this wonderful city our home! I'm sure everyone in the promotion of 93 feel blessed to have participated in an experience that literally cracked open all our worlds - for ever and for the better. How we danced, how we laughed, how we sang! 'Let it be' for ever!
