Getting one's own back.

Headed into Salop today to meet with the girls, a quick bite of lunch then on to view some houses.

It seemed only reasonable to call in for a swift half at the end of it all only to return home to find daughters having blipped some rather unflattering photos taken whilst enjoying said swift half.

So this is pay-back time. Modern youth obsessed with mobile technology.

But I'm going to have a quick rant - so unlike me I know - if I may be permitted.

I was absolutely incensed, to the point of having to leave the room on one occasion, by the total lack of interest, knowledge and interest shown by the agents showing us round the properties we viewed. These people need to remember who is paying, very often an extortionate amount, to keep them in a job!

One example. When asked if the wood burner was in working order the answer simply came, I don't know. Then, pointing to the blanked-off gas point nearby, it doesn't seem to be connected at the moment! Unbelievable.

If we all displayed such lack of interest, motivation and product knowledge, we'd soon be out of work. Clearly the property-selling market is above all of this.

Still. The afternoon confirmed a couple of points. We don't ever want to move house again. And if we do, we'll do the selling ourselves.

Otherwise, a nice day catching up.

And taking silly photographs.
