Off work ill today so Breagha stayed by my side of the bed lying on Barney the sheepskin rug.

Got up later to watch the cycling - felt so sorry for Queen Victoria, she was elbowed by the Aussie. No doubt about it!

But as for Sir Chris Hoy, what a performance. He is definitely my favourite Olympian; not only a tremendous athlete to win 6 gold medals, but such an inspiring role model for youngsters. I sincerely hope that after these games, young and old look to these sportsmen and women. and aspire to be like them instead of these so called "celebrity" trash that have done nothing but wear expensive clothes, talk utter garbage and get paid thousands for doing it,
