The Sands of Time

This hourglass in Dirleton Kirk represents “The sands of time” and was put beside the pulpit in 2012 to commemorate the 400 years since the church was built after being relocated from Gullane when the church there was engulfed by sand.  It is an attractive little church with some beautiful modern art work including this.
404 years seem a long time compared with the four years since I started on my blip adventure posting a photo each day since September 2012.
