Clariden

Wonderful late summer hiking day. We stayed over night at Urnerboden and AM joined us at 9am arriving with the yellow post bus after a long journey from Zurich. I took my early sunrise morning picture at 7am, took a walk to the cable car (gettng a ticket with a set time) and bought my Urner specialities at the bakery (Zigerkrapfen).

At 0922am up with the cabin to Fisetenpass. From there first a good hour towards Claridenhütte and then the panoramic trail (Clariden Höhenweg) to Klausenpass.

Amazing scenery, changing landscapes and wonderful views up to the glaciers and down to the valley. Yellow bus back at 0430pm to Urnerboden, packing the Volvo, another visit to the local cheese shop (cheese fondue) and then driving the scenic route via Klausenpass, Altdorf (where I grew up), Brunnen and back to the Zurich area. Wonderful day and lovely company.

Blinis, Mätti, Finlandia Vodka for dinner. Enjoying the feeling of tense muscels, 8 hours of sun on the (protected) skin as well as 30K steps (20km) and 200 floors (Fitbit). Best of all: no alarm clock tomorrow Sunday morning.
