Heavy rain and wind all night. Today was brighter. 

A lazy morning, lunch with friends (keeping up the birthday lunch tradition), and a fun afternoon playing with Freddie. 
His newest favourite is to be held by his arms while he 'walks' around the place. Today he went around the pond and up and down steps,  stopping occasionally to examine something that caught his eye in the grass. He was naked and muddy and enjoying himself immensely. 

This evening I sadly learned that my ex father-in-law, my eldest children's grandfather and a man I respect enormously,  passed away last night. RIP Geoff.
