Mrs IttH went home today, it's been fab showing her some of the highlights of the Alps. Tomorrow I meet my group for the last TMB of the season - something that's becoming a work habit - first Walkers Haute Route, last TMB. Then it's the long drive North...

Driving to the train station this morning the mountains of the Fiz loomed large in front of us - when I asked C what her highlight had been there had been too many moments, but, she replied, the Passage du Dérochoir* had been the most memorable day - and then she said how she'd like a picture of the whole range, and what was I blipping today.....
So here it is, surprisingly difficult to get as just about every spot with a great view of it has a nice chalet in the way lol.

*if you look at the central Pointe de Platé our route took the cliffs slightly left of the lowest point on its right, traversed behind it, through the hidden Col du Portette, and then down the cliffs that are the lowest point on its left.
