Peaceful Urk?

The old fisherman town of Urk is probably one of the few communities that still live and work like our grandparents did, nice and slowly in a picturesque and above all peaceful environment.

That is... until this week!

The biggest fish company decided to abandon the old traditions and enter this millennium by investing in a sorting machine.

Now the peacefulness has disappeared and complete families are at war afraid of losing their jobs and rock solid traditional heritage.

Maybe the washing lines filled with laundry will make place for white flags soon.
