Walton Road Station.

The miniature railway track that winds its way around Walton Park is about 1/4 mile long and accommodates locomotives of 5 inch and 3 1/2 inch gauge. It is run and maintained by members of the Sale Model Engineering Society.

On Sundays, weather permitting, the engines are kept busy carrying children (and their equally enthusiastic parents) who sit on wooden carriages and beam as they are pulled along. Simple pleasures.
