Cruella Devilla
Must've exhausted the wee man out as he was convinced he was eating a carrot instead of an apple by this point.
Couldn't not go out on a day like this and even the apprentice vampire gave in and came along for a ride through the boggy tracks of Devilla Forest with us. Couldn't believe how muddy and washed away some of the sections were still and it made it near impossible to cycle some parts. Didn't see a single other cyclist all the time we were in there and maybe that's why. We decided not to head back the way we'd slogged in and took a shortcut out through the Police Training College onto some more cycle friendly surfaces. Not sure we were even allowed through there but it was so nice even the trainee bobbies and bobbettes had brought their seats outside and were sitting in the grounds having their criminal lessons.
Despite all the water around the tracks and paths, the actual water level at the Dam here seems to be really low. The last time I was up here in the summer we were jumping and diving in off the old boatyard wall Euan's sitting on. Can't remember that rusted and burned out car being there either, but it must've taken someone a fair amount of effort to get it all the way up there (unless it's a casualty of some of the car rallying that goes on through the forest).
Not a huge amount of miles today but, what miles there were, they were meaty. And muddy good fun.
