Mule Train
Evening all.
Back from a quick jaunt to the seaside town of Mablethorpe.
I can be a bit snobby and judgemental about "bucket and spade" holidays with no good justification or reason, unless due to dubious holidays in Blackpool and Lytham as a child of the seventies.
You know the type, tatty B+B's , staring at raindrops from the inside of smeared windows, dog poo and broken glass littering the beaches and lines of drunken scotsmen staggering (and throwing) up the 'Golden Mile'.
Have to say Mablethorpe:very traditional but very welcoming, and very clean.
Tidy beach, well patrolled by lifeguards, and a 'sand train' which delivers people up and down the coast.
Shiny beach huts for hire, nestling next to impressive installations commissioned by local artists.
Crazy golf, crown green bowling, dodgems, amusement arcades, skate parks and loads of clean paddling pools for the kiddie winkles all nestling together in a happy environment.....
Oh yes, and i nearly forgot to mention the Donkey wrangler who herds his donkeys with the aid of a bike, every day, twice a day, to the beach and back.
Good place to be i think..
night all.
