Not What You'd Might Expect

I'm guessing most people who haven't visited the Sonoran Desert wouldn't expect to see so much color, especially green, in my neighborhood.  Surprise!
To be fair, the yards have been landscaped, some more than others.  Some homes also have sprinkler systems to help keep some plants, mostly flower beds, alive.  This house sits on the corner of two streets so it  has more "yard" than most.  It's really pleasant to walk through my neighborhood on a sunny morning and see  flora like this.  After all, it is Arizona in the summertime.
