ISLAMIC PLATE

This marvellous piece of Islamic craft was brought back from Baghdad after the second World War by my uncle Peter - God knows what he was doing in the Middle East - something dodgy no doubt

Peter gave it to our Grannie Pooh (Winnie) who left it to my mum who left it to me...

I'm amazed by the intensity of this piece - brass with incredibly complicated inlays of copper & silver - not to mention all the other work...

Do I need to expand?
